About Me
While others need to boast they have a degree in photography, to validate themselves to others. Most of the world's very best photographers neither have to boast nor have a degree in photography. They simply love to take photographs.
I DO NOT HAVE A DEGREE IN PHOTOGRAPHY NOR ART! A degree in photography means a person sat in a classroom learning all the theory about taking a photograph and in some instructor's opinion, was granted a passing grade. I sat in the classroom of life. The beauty around me inspired me to teach myself how to capture what stimulated my imagination or evoked a feeling. My self-satisfaction and others' appreciation of my photographs is my passing grade. And, if you pay, as well, it is a bonus.
Though I have had a camera in my hands since 1967, I have only been published and paid as a Photographer, since 1992, but I am still learning. It should be a never-ending process. I don't know it all. I have not seen it all.
While I am not as famous nor recognized as some Photographers, I am an internationally published photographer and writer. I believe given the same opportunities, connections, subjects to work with, environment, photographic equipment and lighting, I believe that I would do better, however.
As you can see from this online portfolio, I have very diverse photographic interests. I have all the right professional-grade equipment (Nikon and Hasselblad) and expertise to get the job done right, the first time. If you want someone who will pay close attention to detail and whose photographs will not require much in the way of Photoshop, then you've come to the right Photographer. I love all forms of photography and do not limit myself nor my imagination, in anything I do.
