About Me
If you are interested in scheduling a shoot let's do it. I am faithful to the cause so as long as a shoot involves me behind the camera and you in front of it, I am all for it - so let me hear your mild to wild ideas. Now just a little about me...
My interest in photography reaches back into my early childhood since my father earned his living as a professional photographer. In high school my interest grew as I naturally focused on the photographic side of art. At the same time I was employed by a high-end shop working in their photography and electronics department where we enjoyed the latest technology and discussing various applications.
Fast forward to the present: my love and interest of the art and science of photography and associated technologies is truly a passion. Through reading and talking with other professionals I keep current and experiment with all sorts of ideas. For me, creativity takes place not only in front of and behind the lens, but also in post-processing. There is always something new to learn in this field.
My interests lately have involved working with natural light. The minimalist in me enjoys being outside with a camera and just a few lenses: no lights, no fancy backdrops, and no complicated set-ups for now - just move and shoot. Warm glowing sun and soft skin...what more is necessary?
Another style that interests me also is more along the lines of experimental photography - dark, bio-mechanical, post-apocalyptic, societal chaos, etc. Sure, that is quite a bit different as compared to most photo shoots but I am looking to break new ground, try something different. Kunst ist krieg!
Included in my portfolio are a few examples of some of the other types of photographic work that I enjoy. Again, I really enjoy taking all sorts of pictures.
I view photography as a collaborative form of art where our ideas are joined together at a particular point and time in space and yield a result that has never been seen before. If you have some ideas I am a great listener - please take the time to share them with me now so we can identify a time, place, and type of shoot.
Once we schedule a shoot you can depend on me being there and I would expect the same of you. If there is an unavoidable change at the last moment we are only a phone call away :)
And finally, although sometimes I spend maybe too much time on the technical side of photography I do have a great sense of humor and love to laugh. Life is fun and photo shoots should be also! My shoots are relaxing, enjoyable, flexible, and focused around us having a good time creating some really wonderful images of you.
