Breathe

Lyrical Midwest singer Breathe begin singing at the age of 3. In which she would just walk around the

house singing Whitney Houston( which was her favorite singer at the time). Breathe who's name is Christin

Nicole Buckley grew up on the south side of Chicago, where her dad kept her active. She started showcasing

her talent at age 6, in which she attended the ETA theater, for singing, acting and dance. It did not stop there

she also became a part of a performing arts group by the name of KMG Cultural Dance and Arts Center

where she took classes on ballet, point, tap, jazz, modern , hip-hop, tumbling, and African Dance.

These skills took her very far in her childhood , she traveled the world participating and winning in national

dance competitions as well as the Bahamian Olympics. Well as she got older she became to think that ballet

was boring so she got into street dance. Breathe has been a part of many street dance groups U phi U, K phi

9, Lethal Weapon, Theata Phi House etc. Well of course being apart of a street dance teams would open your

eyes to the Chicago's streets in which she was deeply involved. Her experience from the streets taught her

how to write from experience and tell stories on the way!! Christin was also a part of an all girl group that

consisted of 3 girls in which she played the part of the lead singer.

The group worked hard with local A&R reps from Motown!!! Well things happened throughout that time

period that could not be controlled so the group went their separate ways, and Breathe was asked

to become a solo artist. She thought long but not hard about the decision she made!! She was only 14 with

her management insisting that she rap and sing and leave her group members behind Christin turned down

the offer..... Of course after that Life became deep... Which gave her more to write about.

Now she has grown into a woman at the age of 26 she writes to the best of her ability about life and it's

consequences. In which she's acquired the name Storyteller!!! Breathe has a very soulful sound she is

compared to singing groups like SWV and Xscape because of her vocal ranges. Growing up in the streets of

Chicago, has taught her a lot and she hopes to make a change. Breathe currently works as a dance instructor

for Praises Goin Up in which she is an administrator...

Breathe works with the kids and not only teaches them dance, but works with their self esteem and

confidence. Breathe has also attended school for Graphic Design, Sociology, Childcare, and Speech! Breathe

is a very down to earth young lady. She believes hard work pays off and she believes in change. If you listen to

her music you will definitely feel that she comes from the heart and is writing about real life experience.....
