Hello, my name is Tony and I'm a painter based in south london, where I work from a studio. I have returned to painting after something of a long absence, since finishing art college, due in part to other commitments in life. Since returning to painting I have been focusing on working from the figure, specifically the female nude, and have spent most of my time working on my drawing, the progress proved to be quite difficult after such a long break, but I found working with experienced models was a great help and inspiration and really pushed me to work through the problems.
This, I feel, has helped me to arrive at a point now where I can start to develope my work and progress fully into painting. I look forward to continuing to work from the figure, I enjoy the interaction with the model as well as the challenge and difficulty of translating the human form into a visual image.
Some of the models I've had the good fortune to have worked with recently are registered on this site and recommendedthat I join as it would be an ideal source to get in touch with other models.
