About Me

My name is Anastacia "Opia" Taylor, thanks for checking me out. Feel free to contact any of my refrences listed to inquire about their working experience with me. I would hope they would say I'm fierce and awesome! I certainly give my all.

MY PROCCESS
I take this feild very seriously. If you happen to work with me you will notice quickly that I connect and engage with my enviroment, the camera and you. For me, part of being a model is realisng the sense of self and being seperate and percieving the truth, the fact that your part of an energy that runs and binds everything together. That's how I work and nail photoshoots. I take a deep breath, relax and become part of the concept. All of a sudden I'm not just Opia but I'm the concept, the lighting, the mood. I try to intuitively pick up on what the photographer wants me to do at that exact moment. Modeling is like acting but your also expelling these emotions you have within. If you can't dig those up then you aren't a model, you re just a person who is having a picture taken.

PALE POWER
I am of Lithuanian, Irish and German descent- my Mom was full so I have the Eastern European/Slavic look going. I
I am described often as looking like a porcelain doll; if you are searching for this type of look then I am your girl. I have very, very pale skin and dark features. I am about as pale as Dita Von Teese. People can tan to their hearts desire, but you can only lighten your skin so much.

NOT JUST A MODEL
But, looking like a doll isn't my only specialty, I am also a makeup and fine artist. Sometimes I am just contracted to be the makeup artist for models. All the makeup you see in my portfolio was done by me- including the green, white and red body paintings.
There is a link to makeup art site listed on this page.

Just like photographers, I too as a model have terms, conditions and in certain situations fees. These are in place to ensure that the photographer and the model both have the safest and most efficient shoot possible. If you want me to travel six hours to your studio- regardless of how talented and seasoned you are, it would be nice to throw me some gas money and not make me feel guilty for it.

Some of my major inspirations come from Bork, Dita Von Teese and David Bowie. They have all pushed the envelope in their own way. I have always been a person that tries to nudge society forward with my ideas, innovations and creativity.

MY GENRE
As you can see by my portfolio I tend to shoot more risque photo's as I am very petite. I do a lot of implied nude. In the word of Charles Barnes "I don't shoot pink". Meaning I don't expose myself in the lower region. Most would agree that its much more sensual to leave a little to the imagination. I love the old 1940's-50's peekabo imagery.
My goal is to grace the cover of a high-end tattoo magazine sometime this winter. I am going to apply to model for RockStar the energy drink but am not comfortable with the pictures I have right now (as I am mainly a nude model I don't have much to submit). Still searching for the perfect shot of my tattoos to submit to the magazines. I think Darrin Wasson from Studio Erotas and I finally nailed it but we are still working on finishing touches of the photos.

My portfolio is getting to the point where commercial is more the way I would like to go. The trade I would like to do is with photographers there are more graphic arts heavy and Shop shop wizards. The traditional white and black background is just getting a little stagnant. I need something a little more modern and interesting.

I'll be touring this April in the Greater Detroit- Toledo area. Please visit my site:

ALIAS CHOICE
Opia was the alias name I chose when I received a Suicide Girls contract a year and a half ago. Although I was contracted I never became a real SG model-, which means you submit an approved set. One of the reasons for this is because I think SG treats their models worst then almost any site I've ever seen. The irony being those 5 years ago it was based off a feminist model to acknowledge alternative, feminine sexuality.
Regardless, considering there are around 3000 models there's slim pickings for names over there.
