David Schmit Studios

David Schmit is a Louisiana native. Growing up in St. Bernard Parish he graduated from Holy Cross High School and from ’89 to ’90 he studied Graphic Design at Louisiana Tech University College. As member of the Slidell Art League and President of the Slidell Photography Club he teaches class and gives lectures to help develop others. His medium currently is Digital Photography and Digital Art, but also works in watercolor, and pen and ink. He started creating art at a young age and received the J. Buchanan Silver Medallion for Excellence in Art. His photography has been exhibited in the 2008 Cemeteryscape and Fleur De Lis Relief 2010 along with numerous local showings. Much of his photography is done locally in Southern Louisiana generally of local nature and landmarks.
