About Me
Hello! Thanks for stopping by my portfolio. I'm not really what most people would consider a "model." I have passions, beliefs, things that I fight for and a fervent desire to save the world. I know that will take time, of course, so for now I'm busy being a graduate student in Applied Behavior Analysis, a college coach for students with Asperger's Syndrome, a public speaker, a writer, a home cook, and oh, yeah...a woman who has Asperger's Syndrome.
I set up a portfolio on because I understand that a "face" is often needed to further a cause or campaign. Modeling for something that means something is what I am interested in. The autism and Asperger's community needs stand-outs in areas that we might not normally be found in--that contestant on "America's Next Top Model" is one such person. She set a great example, and while I am not looking at a runway with stars in my eyes, if I can incorporate my appearance into bringing awareness to autism, then I am prepared to do that. But I will always see myself as a "full package," rather than simply a leg, or arm, or pair of breasts. All of me is the model, not just my body.
If you'd like to know more about me, feel free an e-mail on here or at amy@amygravino.com, and I will be glad to answer any questions that you might have.
