About Me

Laurent Planeix moved to America from France in 1997 with the firm goal of pursuing his own American Dream of honing his craft and building a successful brand centered around his talents. After spending years making a living for himself in New York City, Laurent decided the logical next step was to move to Hollywood and further explore a career in Fashion and Entertainment. Once in Los Angeles, Laurent continued to travel back and fourth from Los Angeles to Asia working as an actor & model. After gaining his footing in the Industry, Laurent founded Plan X, a product placement, event and publicity company focusing on branding and promoting a variety of renowned and up-and-coming clients. Plan X specialized in putting the newest trends on Hollywood's elite. Plan X placed product from leading companies such as Antik Denim, Astons, Von Dutch, Giantto, Hale Bob, and Bisou Bisou, and numerous others on Hollywood's who's who. On the event s side Laurent produced many celebrity and industry affairs including a star studded red carpet party for designer Christian Audigier's birthday where he met his and began working with his current business partner Phil Viardo who at the time headed his renowned boutique entertainment firm, The Viardo Agency. After years of working to maximize exposure for numerous fashion companies and contributing to the success of others, Planeix decided it was time to turn his designs and marketing ideas to work for himself. Thus, he created the Marceau brand. Marceau embodies the pinnacle in modern trend design and French flair and was debuted in 2006 at a Hollywood Launch Event attended by numerous celebrities, industry professionals, and the media. Among those involved in the event was Kim Kardashian who was featured walking the runway in numerous looks designed by Laurent. Soon after the success of Marceau he decided to venture into the Swimwear market. Laurent teamed up with his then client, renowned model and actress Caroline D'Amore to form a premium swimwear line, D'Amore By Marceau. The line debuted during Miami Fashion Week, then made headlines at Mercedes-Benz Los Angeles Fashion Week as well as numerous runway shows around the U.S. D'Amore By Marceau has been featured on Hollywood's "It Girls" including Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Brooke Burke, Adrianne Curry, Cheryl Burke, amongst numerous others. D'Amore By Marceau has been featured in numerous print and television outlets including a recent appearance on E!'s hit TV Series, "Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami" who dedicated most of an episode to the Fashion Show. Following the success of D'Amore By Marceau, Laurent's latest creation is MDMA: Marceau Design Music & Artistry. MDMA is a fully faceted line incorporating Denim, Tee's, Hats, Leggings, and Swimwear and will focus around the elements of music, art and fashion influences from all over the world.
