About Me
Hi, I'm Steve McAfee (mack-a-fee). I've worked for over 20 years in fine art and illustration and now love photography.
I'm looking to work with models interested in my style of artistic glamour photography with an 'Old Hollywood' look. This includes portraits, artistic nudes, implied nudes, lingerie, formal wear, unusual bridal, exotic outfits and period costume photos.
I have a "painterly" style, very classical looking, sometimes involving costumes and props. I like for the model and I to have a creative concept in mind before scheduling anything. This gives us a starting point that we can always add to as the shoot progresses.
A typical photo shoot is very laid back with a slow pace, a lot of time is spent in the posing/lighting process to bring out the best in the model and my photos.
Just to let you know-right now I am working out of my home-the living room becomes my studio when needed. But there's nothing to be afraid of, once I hang backdrops and use the right lighting the photos don't look like "some guy's living room" at all. All of the interior photos on my page were shot in this way.
I'm also getting outside more lately for location style shoots!
My current rate for models is $250 for a 1 hour shoot or $350 for a 2 hour shoot. A disc of at least 20 retouched photos is included with 14 days.
